{"id":434,"date":"2012-02-12T08:21:15","date_gmt":"2012-02-12T13:21:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kayfagan.com\/?p=434"},"modified":"2012-02-12T08:21:15","modified_gmt":"2012-02-12T13:21:15","slug":"about-kay","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kayfagan.com\/?p=434","title":{"rendered":"About Kay"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Spotlight shines on me,\u00a0Kathryn Long Fagan, known to all as\u00a0Kay.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Formerly Kathryn Mae Long, I was born on June 7th 1921 and raised in Hadley, Pennsylvania. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> I\u00a0pursued a college education\u00a0at Thiel College in Greenville, Pennsylvania, and graduated with a degree in English. \u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0 \u00a0Upon receiving her master\u2019s\u00a0degree, she went on to\u00a0teach at the high school level, first at Frederick High School in Frederick Maryland, teaching mathematics. \u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Kay\u00a0says that her time spent teaching\u00a0high school students was the highlight of her teaching career. \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Kay married the late Osborne\u00a0Holmes Fagan, and together they\u00a0had a son, Gary, and a daughter,\u00a0Joan. \u00a0 In addition, Kay is now the\u00a0proud grandmother of five, two grandsons and three granddaughters. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>She was very proud to have been the wife of a musician, the namesake\u00a0behind the \u201cOzzie Fagan\u2019s\u00a0Orchestra.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In her spare time, Kay has\u00a0always enjoyed reading\u00a0and gardening. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>I always try to be a warm and friendly\u00a0person.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Spotlight shines on me,\u00a0Kathryn Long Fagan, known to all as\u00a0Kay.
