Spotlight shines on me, Kathryn Long Fagan, known to all as Kay.

Formerly Kathryn Mae Long, I was born on June 7th 1921 and raised in Hadley, Pennsylvania.  

I pursued a college education at Thiel College in Greenville, Pennsylvania, and graduated with a degree in English.  

   Upon receiving her master’s degree, she went on to teach at the high school level, first at Frederick High School in Frederick Maryland, teaching mathematics.  

Kay says that her time spent teaching high school students was the highlight of her teaching career.   

Kay married the late Osborne Holmes Fagan, and together they had a son, Gary, and a daughter, Joan.   In addition, Kay is now the proud grandmother of five, two grandsons and three granddaughters.  

She was very proud to have been the wife of a musician, the namesake behind the “Ozzie Fagan’s Orchestra.” 

In her spare time, Kay has always enjoyed reading and gardening.  

I always try to be a warm and friendly person.
